Bring the flight deck of a decades-old Cessna 550 forward a couple of generations.
Our Approach
Working with our partner, Mid-Canada Mod Center, we designed the system for a branch of the Canadian Government.
The Solution
The new flight deck included Synthetic Vision, Charts, VDL Mode, and we paired it with a Universal Avionics FMS (flight management system). The client required some custom AFCS features, such as auto-arming of the Altitude Preselect mode on per-selector “knob in motion”. We changed the flight director operation so only the left hand or righthand was active at once with command transferred left and right.
The Result
A new cockpit philosophy and a leap forward a couple of generations.
