The Challenge

Test and certify an entirely new ELT with a TSO to cover a range of aircraft.

Our client developed this product to meet a new TCCA requirement. 406 MHz ELTs will become mandatory equipment on aircraft already required to be equipped with ELTs later this year.

Our Approach

Relying on our deep technical knowledge, and far-reaching experience certifying various radios and transmitters, we took the lead in this certification program.

The Solution

We led the TSO application process and coordinated the qualification testing. We approved test plans and acted as witnesses for the testing of this new 406 MHz ELT.
