The Challenge
Installing a Cabin Wi-Fi router on a late model business jet where the TPED (transmitting portable electronic device) STC was out of the operator’s price range or it didn’t exist for that aircraft type.
The owner of this aircraft was having a popular Air-to-Ground (ATG) data link installed and they wanted to install a cabin Wi-Fi router.
Our Approach
We’re on top of all the latest aviation authority guidance regarding connectivity and Wi-Fi. The most recent applies to aircraft that are HIRF (High Intensity Radiated Field) qualified are much easier to certify.
The Solution
With specialized equipment, we performed the required interference path-loss testing which allowed us to also add the TPED compatibility to the already existing STC, at a highly competitive price.
The Result
Another older business jet with new connectivity capabilities and a happy owner.
